On May 28, 2025, Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Center for Research in Mathematics Education, organized an academic cooperation meeting on the topic of "Developing Mathematics Skill Assessment." The meeting emphasized the importance of mathematics skill assessment in the current era. Participants exchanged knowledge and held discussions with eight individuals who successfully passed the CBMS (Certified Business Mathematics Skills) examination. The Japanese side expressed significant interest in human resources equivalent to top-tier employees in Japanese companies and wishes to support a second CBMS examination soon. They aim to broaden the scope and increase the number of examinees to witness a wider range of potential and skills. Furthermore, they are considering short-term study visits for qualified individuals who meet Japanese criteria, potentially leading to employment in Japan if mutually agreed upon terms can be reached
