Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP) Khon Kaen University (KKU) held a workshop on March 22, 2026, titled "AI for Modern Teachers in the STEM Context." The event was designed to equip educators with the skills to integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching, enhance classroom quality, and align with modern learning needs.
The workshop was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phongthanat Sae-joo, Director of IRDTP-ASEAN, who welcomed the speakers and participants. The initiative supports the sustainable development of educational personnel and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which promotes quality, inclusive, and equitable education for all.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pattamaporn Pimthong from the Faculty of Education at Kasetsart University.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chularat Thammaprateep, Chair of the Master of Education program in Science Education at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaninan Phuetpramool from the Faculty of Science at Srinakharinwirot University.
The sessions focused on providing knowledge to enhance AI literacy and apply it to classroom instruction. The event attracted significant interest, with over 126 participants, including university lecturers, teachers, students, and educational supervisors, reflecting widespread engagement in educational advancement.
As an institution dedicated to teacher professional development and improving classroom learning, IRDTP KKU organized this workshop to empower educators to design interdisciplinary learning experiences that effectively respond to the changes of the modern world.
