The Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN welcomes exchange students from Korea National University of Education under the UNESCO UNITWIN Programme.

On January 21, 2025, the Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP), Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Phongthanat Sae-joo, Director of the Institute, along with Associate Professor Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Senior Researcher Fellow, and the institute’s administrative team, welcomed two exchange students from the Korea National University of Education (KNUE), South Korea:

Miss Jisan Lee – PhD student in Curriculum Studies, Korea National University of Education.
Miss Gayeon Kim – PhD student in Lifelong Education, Korea National University of Education.
The exchange aimed to foster knowledge sharing about Thailand’s education system, teacher training programs at IRDTP, and research sharing experience with graduate students in Mathematics Education from the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University.

During their exchange, the KNUE students participated in various activities at IRDTP, including:

  • A presentation on the history and mission of IRDTP by Assistant Professor Dr. Phongthanact Sae-joo
  • A lecture on Thailand’s education system and teacher training at IRDTP by Associate Professor Dr. Maitree Inprasitha
  • Research discussions with PhD students in Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education

This program strengthens academic collaboration among UNITWIN network universities and enhances the capacity of education professionals to meet global needs. It also marks a significant step in academic relations between Khon Kaen University and KNUE, contributing to the future of education for both institutions.
