    October 18, 2022, (Thailand time 18.00 to 21.00 hours) – This online workshop was organized collaboratively between the Education and Academic Service Section, International Affair Section, IRDTP for ASEAN, and CRME of Khon Kaen University, with the support from CRICED of University of Tsukuba, Japan as well as the Office of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) (SDG 17, OKR 32). The APEC-Khon Kaen University Online Workshop for Lesson Study 2.0 has successfully provided the stages for the key experts, researchers, and academics such as Dr. Wang Yan (APEC HRDWG Education Network Coordinator), Dr. Luksmon Smansin (Acting Director of the Division of International Relation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Masami Isoda (Director of CRICED, University of Tsukuba, Japan, Ms. Teh Kim Hong (The Association for Science and Mathematics Education Penang (ASMEP), Malaysia), Dr. Wahyudi (SEAMOLEC, Indonesia), Prof. Roberto Araya (Universidad de Chile, Chile), Prof. Raimundo Olfos & Prof. Soledad Estrella (Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile), Prof. Ivan Vysotsky (Moscow Center for Continuous Math Education Probability Theory Laboratory, Russia), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toh Tin Lam (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), Prof. Hee-chan Lew (Korea National University of Education, South Korea, and Prof. Nguyen Chi Thanh (Vietnam National University, Vietnam) in the APEC Economies to exchange ideas related to the success of the use of the Lesson Study (SDG 4, SDG 17, OKR 1).
     The President of Khon Kaen University Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., and APEC HRDWG Education Network coordinator Dr. Wang Yan delivered the welcoming speech to the participants of the APEC-KKU online workshop 2022. This was followed by acting director of the Division of International Relations, MHESI Dr. Luksmon Smansin presided over the opening remarks while Vice President for Education and Academic Service as well as Acting Director of IRDTP for ASEAN Associate Professor Dr. Maitree Inprasitha delivered his reporting speech.
    Since this online workshop was held under the spread of COVID-19, those experts, researchers, and academicians from the APEC Economies utilized this workshop to exchange ideas and attitudes related to using AI and Data Science in succeeding Lesson Studies for the possible improvement as well as the development of instructional innovation in the teaching profession (SDG 4, SDG 17, OKR 32). Professor Masami Isoda, Director of CRICED, University of Tsukuba, Japan reported the project linkages of the APEC Lesson Study Project from 2006 to 2018 on the network collaboration. Lesson Study 2.0 principally involves: (i) Developing innovative methods of analysis for sciences of Lesson Study by using AI and Data Science approaches: What approaches and why? (ii) Developing innovative teaching approaches by using the newest educational environment/system/software which embedded AI: What environment? and (iii) Developing innovative environments for extending and adapting the current product, theme, or objective of Lesson Study: How can we embed?
