KKU joins the learning and sharing under the School and Teacher Development program to upgrade educational qualities


Sunday December 22, 2019 at TK Palace and Convention, Bangkok – Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Vice President for Education and Acting Director of Institute for Research and Development of teaching Profession for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Narumon Changsri, President of Mathematics Study Graduate Program; Dr. Kasem Premprayoon, Associate Dean for Planning and Academic Service, Faculty of Education, Thaksin University; and Mr. Santi Banleng, a researcher of IRDTP presented the progress of the School and Teacher Development project to continuously upgrade educational qualities. The meeting, which was presided over by Prof. Vijarn Panit, M.D., was supported by the Education Equity Fund. The project’s direction was also set in this meeting.

At 13:00 p.m., Asst. Prof. Dr. Narumon Changsri presented the progress of the project, whichhas been carried out according to the plan. The details and contexts of schools and classes were given. Khon Kaen University takes responsibility over a total of 60 schools from September to December, 2019. School Management program incorporated the Lesson Study and Open Approach. Classroom Management was also carried out based on the Lesson Study and Open Approach in order to establish self-development under the Whole School Approach. Next, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha gave the details of the over 15-year collaborative work at an international level to upgrade the educational quality.

In the meeting, there was a special talk on the application of PISA 2018 to upgrade educational qualities by Dr. Phumsaran Thongliamnak. The meeting ended with presentation of the progress of school and teacher development in 6 schools before the conclusion made on the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
